Digi Article Blaster Review – Is It The Best Article Submission Software Out There?

Is Digi Article Blaster the best article submission software on the Internet? To be honest, I can’t answer that as I haven’t tried all the other article submission softwares out there. But, from what I have read and other people’s comments, I suspect that it is way up the list (if not on top of the list!). It is certainly a winner for me for the following reasons:
- Digital Article Blaster is a WordPress plug-in so it works within your blog’s dashboard
- It is dead easy to set up – you just upload it from your harddrive (no ftp necessary), add an e-mail address and decaptcha password, and then create accounts at the click of a mouse. Up to around 300 accounts. Download, install, done!
- You write your post as normal and publish it. (Or keep it as a draft if for whatever reason you don’t want to have an article on your site that is similar to the ones you submit to 100s of article directories.) Then you hit the Digi Article Blaster section of your dashboard, pick a category from the list provided, add some spin syntax to your article title and content, and then click, spin and blast your article all over the Internet. Depending on the speed of your Internet connection, your article will be being read around the globe in minutes. Post, spin and blast all from one place!
- Digi Article Blaster syndicates your content on virtual autopilot. Your high-quality article is sent all over the web, and it’s loaded with the backlinks that send link juice to your site. In fact, what you’re getting are contextual links, which are far more powerful than conventional backlinks.
But you don’t have to take may word for it. See what some of the top warriors and Internet marketers say about it:
When Andy told me about his new plugin, I didn’t think it was possible. Surely no-one can get that many backlinks automatically?
- Aiden Chong
What Digi Article Blaster does is it puts your article marketing efforts on speed. It’s a neat tool that fits an annoying and hassle filled problem.
- Justin Wheeler
I must say I love this WordPress Plugin and this is much better than the other Article marketing tools I have come across as it is that easy to handle… Believe me… You will Love it… Just go for it!
- Aravindh
Another great advantage of Digi Article Blaster is that you can go back to older posts of yours and blast them all over the place too. Grabbing yourself even more backlinks in minutes. You can also check to see exactly where your article has featured and how it looks, whether images and hyperlinks within the article have been included, etc.
Personally, I’m a big fan of automation, particularly if I have a modicum of control over it. I rather put my time and effort into creating quality content, and then have Digi Article Blaster help me get the word out. Literally.
Digi Article Blaster is one of Andy Fletcher’s products. Which says it all, really. Andy consistently comes out with great WordPress plug-ins that are all very clever and simple-to -use problem-solvers.
Some of Andy’s other plug-ins include the excellent WP Syndicator, Digi List Builder, Digi Traffic Accelerator and Digi Traffic Multiplier. I have them all.
If you value your time and don’t want to spend hours submitting your article to article directories, I strongly recommend you invest in Digi Article Blaster – just click here.
MemberSnap – Membership Sites In A Snap. Brilliant!
I have to say, MemberSnap is insane! When I first saw it on the Warrior Forum, I just knew I had to have it. This product is going to be a game changer for me, I just know it. It makes setting up a product sales page and membership site a cinch. Something that is literally accomplished in minutes. Plus you have the option of working through Clickbank or (much more cost effective), via MemberSnap.
MemberSnap is the command centre. You control everything from one dashboard. You can set up your site as a sub-domain on the MemberSnap site, or buy your own domain and add the nameservers to MemberSnap. The difference is in the URL – www.yoursite.membersnap.com or www.yoursite.com.
With just a few clicks of the mouse, you will have a full-blown membership site with an affiliate programme, up-sells and trial offers, various member levels and everything done! Like I said – insane!
You can run your entire online business from here.
- You’ll have information product sites or membership sites up in minutes.
- Can add silver, gold and platinum levels.
- Include trial offers.
- Add an affiliate programme in a snap.
- Squeeze pages in seconds.
- Add videos and upload other content at the click of a button.
- Include up-sells and down-sells. Click, click.
- And much more!
I am just so excited, I can’t tell you! Whilst the principles of Internet marketing are relatively simple, the prospect of setting up sales funnels and systems that could ensure recurring income are daunting, to say the least.
With MemberSnap, a complete newbie could have a fully-fledged membership site up in minutes. Literally! Suddenly everyone will seem to be the expert. Which is fine by me, if it’s going to liberate more people from 9-to-5 drudgery and introduce them to the joys and possibilities of the Internet.
I, for one, should have my first membership site up within a few days. I could have it up within 15 minutes, but I’m a writer and also an illustrator, so I’ll be wanting to make a few changes to the PLR ebooks that come with MemberSnap and adding some value. Better still, I’ll be using MemberSnap to launch my 100% original information products – when I finally get to finish the damn things!
There’s one more great asset to investing in MemberSnap – it’s been created by the founders of Jobcrusher, so when you join you also get access to a seeming ton of literature and videos on everything relevant to Internet marketing.
Really, after this, you don’t need to invest in anything else. Or so I tell myself, one beady eye still swivelling out to the next bright shiny object that calls itself a plug-in, app, kick-ass software or whatever.
But, seriously, do yourself a favour and grab your own copy of MemberSnap – I have never seen anything like it!
Speedy Profit Creator Creates Products Super Fast!
The other night I grabbed Speedy Profit Creator as I have numerous information products lying around partially written and I really need to get my act together, finish the products and launch them. Whilst I already have a bunch of WSOs (warrior forum special offers) on product creation, I couldn’t resist grabbing three more within a 24-hour stretch. Two of them in particular are extremely complementary, which is fortuitous to say the least. The products are Speedy Profit Creator, MemberSnap and Pro (WSO) Creator.
I will focus on Speedy Profit Creator here and will dedicate separate posts to the other two. Speedy Profit Creator is currently a WSO and therefore going for a low, low price so I suggest that, if you’re interested, you head over to the Warrior Forum and secure yourself a copy before the promotional period ends.

I should actually say, it is going for three prices. You’ll see what I mean when you get to Speedy Profit Creator’s sales page. Each price point offers a little more, and even the highest price is insanely low. In fact, once you’ve read the sales page and also read all the comments on the forum’s thread, I’ll wager you will go straight for the higher offering – the Mac Daddy of the three options. That said, if money’s tight this month, invest in the cheaper option and then trade up later. You will get all the same price benefits, which is very generous of the creator, Omar Martin, and his wife, Melinda.
In fact, generous is the key component here.
That, and enthusiastic.
Seldom have I come across such generosity, passion and a sincere desire to help as is apparent with Mr and Mrs Martin. First off, their sales page is completely transparent. What you see is what you get. All the options are clearly laid out for you, as is their contact number. There are no OTOs, no hidden anythings. The only surprise is an extremely pleasant one – and that’s the sheer overdelivery in terms of the product offering.
So what is the product? It’s a robust production creation system that, if you go for option 3, also includes software that very quickly and beautifully creates pdf ebooks for you. Again, depending on which option you go for, you get a training manual, 10 very detailed streaming video lessons, audio files, resell rights to the first two options, and access to a library of 40 PLR products.
By the end of this course, you should know everything you need to know to create your own information product, set up a sales page with payment buttons, and drive traffic (free and/or paid) to your site.
In short, this is a complete business in a box. An extremely lucrative business, I might add, that has allowed Omar and Melinda Martin to lead very rich lives (and I’m not just talking financially) where they will never have to work for anyone else again.
There are even two bonus videos in the course (which I admit I haven’t had a chance to look at yet, my head was so full of information from all the other videos!) that are about creating physical products. In addition, there are 4 bonus sales page templates.
Now I admit, not all of the PLR books in their library appeal to me, and some I have seen before. But there’s enough choice to get you started. The training and the software prompt you to modify the PLR content, create new graphics, etc. so that you are really making these products your own. Of course, you don’t have to use PLR at all, you can create your own information products from scratch. The book, the audio, the training videos, the DVDs, whatever you want.
To be honest, I haven’t used the software yet. It is web based, which means it works for both Windows and Mac, which is a blessing in itself. It looks pretty intuitive and the results speak for themselves – it produces very professional looking ebooks! I think my only gripe is that you have to upload the visuals to your website Cpanel first. Which means you need a website for the promotion of your information product. Whilst that’s logical, I’d also like to create some reports or smaller ebooks to simply give away on document-sharing sites. They’d have hyperlinks back to my main website and also to other products, and would be excellent traffic generators. Anyway, in the scheme of things, that’s a small sacrifice.
Something else I’d like to mention – this is the first time I have come across a WSO thread that is just packed with praise! Really, every single comment is saying something good about Speedy Profit Creator and/or the Martins. Everybody seems to love them, their ethics and their genuine desire to help. Once I had purchased Speedy Profit Creator and was going through the videos on the membership page, I could understand why. Omar’s enthusiasm is infectious. So much so that I’ve been awake since 4 this morning, adding finishing touches to old ones and planning new ones. I’ve been bundling various PLR products together. Next step is to rewrite sections of them, put together new graphics for the ebook cover, its header and the sales page header, rewrite the sales page, buy a new domain, drive traffic to the site and then watch my Paypal account fill up. It really is the perfect career for me! Just as Speedy Profit Creator is the perfect product, so I urge you to get it – now!
André Chaperon And His Imaginary Friends. Are You One Of Them?
First we travelled across oceans to discover new worlds, then we went into outer space and engaged with different planets. Now we fly through the Internet every day, and we make new discoveries every moment we’re online, and connect with people from different worlds at the click of a mouse.
It really is quite extraordinary. And very exciting.
Every time I switch on my laptop, I am primed for a new adventure.
The other evening was no exception. I discovered yet another new site. Well, new to me. And I loved it! Just a simple page, really, that leads to other pages and a couple of interesting courses.
If you’re in the mood to go exploring, may I suggest you stop off here for awhile:
Internet marketer/entrepreneur André Chaperon has come up with two characters that he introduces here, together with their photographs and a chart of two. He also links plenty of other sites through his narrative.
This is what the page is about, in André’s own words:
Frank vs Matt is a concept I came up with to help demonstrate the two camps or categories that us marketers operate within.
Although Frank and Matt are not real “flesh and blood” people per se — their traits are absolutely real and based on real people.
You’re currently one of ‘em.
Which one? … well, you’ll need to read the rest of this page to discover that.
But know this … one of them makes no money online (nothing meaningful anyway). The other one crushes it.
One last thing … I’m not selling anything here. Nada. So get a coffee, get comfortable and relax.
The clever thing is, once on the site, you immediately start to identify with either Frank or Matt. Or both. Yes, you may well have started in the Internet business as one of them and then evolved into being the other character. The fact is, wherever you began, you definitely want to end up being Matt if your intention is to crush it in this IM game. You need a goal, you need a plan to help you reach it, and you need to take action. In short, you need to treat your Internet marketing like a business.
Which, in itself, may appear daunting.
Getting hold of one of André’s courses may well prove to be the compass to get you there. I can’t personally vouch for them as I haven’t tried them yet, but if they’re as insightful and funny as the Frank vs Matt page, then I’m in.
Especially as I fear that, to be Frank, I’m still in the Frank stage.
There’s nothing like reading a description of yourself to give you a much-needed kick up the butt. Hmmm, and I’ve been having a few of those of late.
Those courses? Tiny Little Businesses (a newer and more serious version of Affiliate Bully, it would appear) and Autoresponder Madness. The latter has a list of appreciative customers that reads like the who’s who of Internet marketing – Ryan Deiss, Glenn Livingston, Tellman Knudson, Marlon Sanders, Mike Filsaime, Rich Shefren, Rusty Moore, Ran Aroussi, Craig Ballantyne, Mark Thompson, and a whole lot more.
If that’s the kind of company you’d like to keep – and who wouldn’t? – then maybe those courses are worth exploring. If the prices seem a little steep to you or are beyond your means right now, there are plenty of other alternatives.
But my advice to you is settle on one course and one direction (and least to start with), forgo the temptation to invest in the next shiny object, make a plan, with a deadline, and commit.
Do less, do it well, and achieve more.
Be a Matt right off the bat.
Good luck.
Socrates 3.0 Launched Today! Yay!
Socrates 3.0 Premium WordPress Theme is a fantastic WordPress theme to have and worth every cent! The launch of it today is a definite highlight for me. I use Socrates on at least 50% of my sites and, now that the new version, Socrates 3.0 comes with additional formats, I’m tempted to use it as the theme for all of my sites.
Yes, it’s that good.
Why? Because the Socrates Premium WordPress Theme was created by marketers Joel Comm and Dan Nickerson expressly for marketers. It is very easy to set up, extremely SEO friendly, dead simple to customise, plus it’s a cinch to add Adsense, advertising banners, social media buttons and RSS feed.
One of its greatest assets is the ease with which you can customise your site. There’s a wealth of ready-made banners in numerous niches that you can upload straight away. Or you can upload your own. You can change the font, size and colour of your headline and sub-head in real-time from your Socrates dashboard. You can use any of a number of coloured and textured backgrounds. Choose between various coloured font presets or create your own using a colour-wheel.
The long-anticipated update of Socrates, version 3, has all of what made the previous versions great:
- custom header design system
- built-in AdSense and Clickbank monetization
- sales page and squeeze page templates
- member site and more
plus
- Two New Magazine Layouts
- Portfolio Templates
- New Skinny Templates
- Featured Sliders on Magazine Layouts
- Shortcodes for review buttons, testimonials and embedding videos
- Contact Form Builder
- And More!
It’s outstanding!
Are there any faults? Well, I wrote about Socrates before and had some issues. I still find the design a little clunky and wish there were wider margins as in, more space between the text and the sides of the page. I think sites created using Thesis or Optimize Press, for instance, have a simpler, more sophisticated design but they’re not nearly as user friendly as Socrates.
And I don’t like the massive social media “buttons”. Not buttons at all, but rotating mini banners at the top right of the page.
But, really, those are not big issues. You can still make the Socrates theme look great and, if you have the requisite CSS and HTML skills, you can also customise the site yourself.
The fact is, to date, since its launch two years’ ago, the Socrates Theme for WordPress has been installed on over 85,000 blogs!
That’s because Socrates is incredibly easy-to-use, and it has great features that really benefit niche bloggers.
You have the option of a single site license or an unlimited license. If you have more than one site, I’d say definitely go for the unlimited license.
You can get Socrates 3.0 from my affiliate link here.
Chris Brogan Wrote To Me Today
Yes, he did. Not just to me, of course, to millions of others too. Or however many he has on his autoresponder e-mail list. But the e-mail seemed personal. It’s content, certainly, was directed at me. How do I know this? Because what Chris Brogan wrote really resonated with me. In fact, it gave me a much-needed kick in the butt. So much so, that I felt compelled to write to Chris and thank him. And then he really did write to me personally. Which I find amazing, because probably thousands of others responded to his mail, too.
That’s the power of good social networking. Which is something Chris knows all about. In fact, as I mentioned to him, his book Social Media 101 sits beside me every day. We can all learn from Chris. This business is first and foremost about being human and building real relationships. The sales and profits will naturally follow from that, with the greatest profit being how you have helped another human being.
So what was Chris’s mail about that got me mailing him half way across the world and jolted my own life into perspective.
It was about what it takes to be successful and about perceived overnight success.
“Every day you move things forward, you’re successful.”
- Chris Brogan
Chris spoke about his supposed overnight success and the fact that it took him 8 years to get his first 100 subscribers. He spoke of what it takes to be successful, and it is certainly no automated push-button easy formula:
I am successful because I worked every single day, because I iterated, because I tested, because I was helpful as often as I could be, and because I was everywhere I could be to build presence.
I’m successful because I don’t brag, because I don’t ever believe the hype, because I had to learn how to not care about the praise every bit as much as I don’t care about the hate. I’m successful because I know who is my marketplace/buyer and I know who is my community.
He also wrote about the challenges that some of the most successful people we know have had to overcome to get to where they are. The likes of Sir Richard Branson and Tony Robbins. Chris also wrote – and here he started to ring bells for me – that success is sometimes about not making a mortgage payment or spending the last of your money on a conference because you believe it will benefit you but hiding out in your hotel room during meal times because you can’t afford a restaurant meal.
And then he wrote a little mind map of how to get to where you really want to be:
- Define success clearly. On paper. Write it the hell down.
- Accept no small story. Your story was destined to be big, if only for you.
- Work every day. Grind harder every day. Never coast. Never accept that you’ve done all you can do.
- Get over yourself. (I’m writing this while feeling very depressed, stressed out, under appreciated, and many other emotions. Know what? Who cares? The work still needs doing.)
- Put others first. The MOST successful people all have service of others as a core tenet of what they do.
- Yes, there are rich people who don’t do that. They’re not successful. There’s a difference.
Again, what struck me most was the emphasis on, first and foremost, being of service to others. Always giving more, and only promoting what you genuinely feel will be of benefit to your community. Interestingly enough, I interviewed a client last week for an offline project I was working on, and he stated his business philosophy which is:
Never chase money. Chase perfection and the money will follow.
I think this all hit home because recently I have been thinking a lot about shifting my approach to Internet marketing as well as the offline writing that I do. In truth, it is not a dramatic shift, just a slight jump to the left. I have always worked really hard and given way more than was ever asked for but circumstances of late have caused me to concern myself almost obsessively with making more money. Nothing wrong with that, you may say. Well, no, we all want more money even if it’s just so that we don’t have to worry about making our mortgage payments each month. But, arguably, our focus should still be primarily on something that helps others, that betters lives in some small or big way, and then the money will come.
What are your thoughts on this and what steps do you make to ensure your success?
3 Great Things
Three great things happened to me today. Not earth-shattering but potentially enough to start a seismic shift.
- I got an e-mail from Chris Brogan that kicked my butt and made me re-evaluate a few things. Thank you, Chris!
- Socrates 3 was launched!
- Someone pointed me to a site by Internet marketer André Chaperon that not only quoted one of my favourite copywriters, the late Paul Arden, but then went on to describe two very different kinds of Internet Marketers and it became glaringly obvious which one I was and which one I needed to become.
The cherry on the top was reading the latest blog post by Steven Resell on content curation and coming across a couple of content curation tools that are new to me – Scoop.it and Storify.
The gifts just keep on coming!
I’ll be going into the above in more detail and hope that what I share has a similarly positive impact on you, too. So keep a lookout for the next few posts. Thanks.
CurationSoft is the web’s best-selling curation software!
CurationSoft Is Content Curation Made Easy
CurationSoft by Jack Humphrey is the web’s #1 best-selling curation software! It represents a new style of content marketing that is getting a lot of attention from top content marketing experts around the web. For good reason.
As the web cleans up its act and, with almost Mafiosa prompting from Google, dumps the bad sites, good content is truly becoming King again. Short of creating that by yourself, the best way to ensure excellent content that people actually want to read and engage with, is to curate it.
What is curation?
It is the process of filtering information on a topic to come up with the best articles, videos, photos, or social discussions going on at any given time.
Curation is carried out by social marketers and content marketers. For example, Robert Scoble is primarily a social curator. He finds and shares a wealth of great content daily that he discovers amidst all the noise generated in the tech and start-up markets.
People love him for it because they don’t have to source all this information themselves, they can just follow Scobie and use him as a filter of the market out there. They trust him to keep them up to date and share the latest and most relevant information with them.
Mashable.com is a prime example of a “hub curator” cum news aggregator. According to CurationSoft developer, Jack Humphrey, Hub curators are sites that watch the news and thought leaders in their niche and report on the best information they find. “This is the content marketer’s sweet spot.” says Humphrey. “We spend a ton of time creating (or having created) articles and blog posts from scratch. Curation enables you to “riff” off of the news in your market and just give your two cents on a topic without writing 100% original content all the time.”
Well, that sounds all good and well in theory, but does it really work? And how do you implement it in your market and on your blog?
Enter CurationSoft. It’s an amazing piece of software and very simple to use. Furthermore, it helps to create pages that rank extremely high in the search engines.
Whilst CurationSoft is fairly new, it’s predecessor – Utility Poster – has been around for a couple of years. I know, because I have it and it has been one of my favourite blogging softwares until, well, the invention of CurationSoft. Essentially, it is the same thing. Except that CurationSoft is even more versatile. You can use it to discover, review and curate content from Google Blog Search, YouTube, Twitter, Google News, Flickr and any RSS feed you want.
What’s more, it operates on a drag and drop basis. You use the software to search for and pull any information you want, and then you just drag that info over into the HTML version of your blog post.
Let me give you an example. Want to know what the latest thinking is on content curation? Well, read on.

The benefit of excellent and quickly secured content curation, and therefore of having CurationSoft in your arsenal of Internet Marketing tools, goes beyond the quality of content itself. Most Profitable Niche – 5 Ways To Find It
The most profitable niche. Is choosing it about passion or profit?
Here’s the truth about finding the most profitable niche. You have probably heard that you should only start up websites along themes for which you have a serious passion. Not so. That may well apply to building an authority site because that is going to take up a lot of personal investment of time, energy, interest and experience. It arguably makes it easier to create content when you already have knowledge around its subject matter.
However, to build the most profitable niche site does not require the same level of passion or already attained knowledge. What you need for a successful and most profitable niche site is a target audience that has either a great passion and interest in its topic, or has a dire need for the information and products that you are offering.
Where you will strike lucky is giving your target audience:
The information they want or need.
Convenience. Whether that’s the convenience of being able to glean all the information they need online, shop online or have options shortlisted for them so that making a choice becomes much easier.
Providing a solution to a problem, especially an embarrassing one. The more serious and/or embarrassing the problem, the more desperate the buyer. The more desperate the buyer, the better your chances of success (yes, we Internet Marketers are all evil! Ha, ha, ha.) Whether the issue is weight loss, snoring, the need for baby diapers to be delivered in bulk to the home, how to fix a broken relationship, cure tinnitus or warts in an unmentionable place, if you have the answer and your site is ranked high in Google, then you’re A for away! In short, you have found the most profitable niche.
So how do you find the most profitable niche around which to build a site?
Do you have to look for a product first? No, my suggestion is to start with the niches, then search for the relevant products.
Here are some ways:
Amazon
Whether you are intending selling Amazon products or not, Amazon the site holds a wealth of information in terms of buyer trends. There is every product under the sun there. All you have to do is take a category and then dig down deeper into the category. Look for the bestsellers, read all the customer reviews to see what people really want and like. Look through the best-seller books in the non-fiction category to see where people’s interests lie and what problems they are trying to solve. Check out physical products. Look for products selling at $100+ (especially if you are considering selling Amazon products), with a minimum of 10 reviews. Amazon has already done all the market research for you. All you have to do is ferret it out.
Yahoo! Answers
Yahoo! Answers may have made it harder for Internet Marketers to promote their own sites but that’s really not an issue, because Yahoo! Answers offers so much more. You’ll find a mass of different categories on Yahoo! Answers. Delve into the categories and see what questions people are asking. If you find that a lot of them are asking the same thing about a certain topic then, most likely, that topic would make a very profitable niche for your new website. If there are people on Yahoo! Answers asking the same questions about the same topic, you can be sure there are plenty of other people out there seeking the same information.
However, before you plunge into creating a website based on this niche, make sure that the people seeking information or a product to solve their problem are willing to pay reasonable money for it. If they are, then your next step is to find or create (through research) the information product that will answer the need, or to find the right physical product that you can promote as an affiliate marketer (that satisfies their need, obviously).
Ebay
Ebay has thousands upon thousands of products, some new, some used, some collectibles. It also has as many hungry buyers. Again, this is a great place to do your research. See what is selling the most or what people are willing to pay the most for. Then consider building the most profitable niche around that.
Flippa
Flippa.com could be considered the eBay of websites. It’s where people list their sites if their sites are for sale, and it’s where buyers go to get sites that have the ideal domain name and/or a wealth of content and visitors. Buying a ready-made aged site also means it has ranked higher in Google so it will save you a ton of time and effort. But that’s not why you should be stopping by Flippa.com in this instance. No, your visit this time is simply to do some more research.
You’ll find that, when someone lists a site, that person puts up some statistics that include monthly revenue and monthly profit. The current site owner also lists the URL of the site. Ever dreamt of being a spy? Well, now’s your chance! Look for a site that pulls in a substantial amount of money per month – anything from, say, $1 000 upwards. Then see what niche that site is in, what products are promoted on that site and how they are promoted. This is obviously a niche that is already working but perhaps the site could perform even better. Does it offer an ebook, newsletter or membership programme? How easy is it to navigate? Does it entice you to stay on the site for longer by linking to other posts (and thereby reducing its bounce rate)? How focused is the home page or is it a confusion of too many blog posts, banner ads and Adsense? Maybe you could take the same niche and the same or similar products and do a better job. Or you may well want to purchase the existing site and do a better job with its on-page SEO, create a better opt-in offer, whatever. Irrespective, Flippa.com is an excellent resource for discovering which niches are really working and what can be done to attract that specific audience. Seriously, it doesn’t take much to find the most profitable niche within any category. Being a good spy really pays off.
Books For Dummies
I was fortunate to meet one of the founders of Books for Dummies, John Kilcullen, many years ago at a publishing course at Standord University, San Francisco. I also got to visit the publishing house. Over lunch on campus, John told me how the whole Dummies success story began. If memory serves me correctly, whilst in an entirely different profession, he found himself on numerous occasions standing in a queue waiting to buy a book or product of some sort, and he’d overhear the person in from of him asking the teller, “Isn’t there a book on _____ that will explain things simply, for a dummie like me?”
After John had heard this a few times, the light bulb went off in his head and he realized that there was a great market for books that made seemingly complicated topics simple and accessible. It started with computer books and now the same system is applied to everything from Guerilla Marketing to Wine to Understanding Buddhism to Sex Tips by Dr Ruth. And much more. John hit on a brilliant formula – create a simple chatty format (that includes lots of cartoons and humour), and then get an expert in a particular field to distill their knowledge into easy byte-sized chunks of information that fit within the funny ha-ha tone of the Dummies series.
Well, okay, that’s probably more background than you need but the fact is that the Dummies range of books is extremely popular, packed with great information, and very varied in terms of topics. In other words, the books are aimed at a variety of niche markets. Aha! Now we’re talking! If the niches are worth getting experts to write about and then publishing thousands of hard copies of the books, then it goes to say that these niches could also make very profitable websites! Without a doubt, you will find the most profitable niche (times plenty!) right here.
So go onto the Dummies website or visit your local bookstore, grab some Dummies books and go through them whilst sipping some excellent in-store Starbucks coffee (or equivalent).
Whilst the books may each cover a fairly broad niche, you can flip through the chapters and find possible micro-niches within them. Micro niches are better because they usually already have a hungry well-targeted and specialised audience.
What’s more, skimming through these books, you will pick up a ton of ideas for potential website content once you’ve decided on the most profitable niche for your purpose!
Making choosing the most profitable niche fun
The most profitable niche or niches you choose may not be within your personal interest or area of expertise but, in my mind, that’s part of the fun. You will learn new stuff which, depending on the niche, could make for great dinner-time conversation. More importantly, creating sites around those niches will make you money. Which is why you’re in this in the first place, right? Right!
It’s dead simple, really. Look for what what people already want or need and want or need enough to be willing to pay for it. Create a web site that satisfies that need by basing it on the most profitable niche in any particular category. Collect your money. Way to go!
